LOCK FOLDER WITHOUT SOFTWARE

I think you might also need to secure your personal data on laptop, may be by doing a folder lock. Folder lock is an old idea which can be fulfilled by using some third party tools but they either cost you or did not work up to your simple need. Folder lock trick can be used to secure your data from third person or may be from your family or other office members.

I have got a simple trick to lock folder without any software tool at no cost.

Steps for folder lock trick:

Step 1: Open Notepad and copy below code.

cls :End @ECHO OFF title Folder FolderLock if EXIST “Control Panel. {21EC2020-3AEA-1069- A2DD-08002B30309D}” goto UNLOCK if NOT EXIST Locker goto MDLOCKER :CONFIRM echo Are you sure u want to Lock the folder(Y/N) set/p “cho=>” if %cho%==Y goto LOCK if %cho%==y goto LOCK if %cho%==n goto END if %cho%==N goto END echo Invalid choice. goto CONFIRM :LOCK ren Locker “Control Panel. {21EC2020-3AEA-1069- A2DD-08002B30309D}” attrib +h +s “Control Panel. {21EC2020-3AEA-1069- A2DD-08002B30309D}” echo Folder locked goto End :UNLOCK echo Enter password to Unlock folder set/p “pass=>” if NOT %pass %==techfeel goto FAIL attrib -h -s “Control Panel. {21EC2020-3AEA-1069- A2DD-08002B30309D}” ren “Control Panel. {21EC2020-3AEA-1069- A2DD-08002B30309D}” Locker echo Folder Unlocked successfully goto End :FAIL echo Invalid password goto end :MDLOCKER md Locker echo Locker created successfully goto End :End

Step 2: Now save the file as “.bat” extension, for example save the file as folderlock.bat. Select save as type from “text” to “All Files”.

Step 3: if NOT %pass %==techfeel goto FAIL : Here the word techfeel is the password, you can change it to anything you like.

Step 4: Now double click on FolderLock.bat, this will create new windows folder with name Locker.

Step 5: Click on “FolderLock.bat”, this will pop up a command prompt and prompt you if you want to lock the folder, type “Y” and press Enter button. This will hide your folder and lock it.
Step 6: To access the folder, you need to double click on “FolderLock.bat”. This will prompt you to enter password, enter techfeel or if you have changed it so.
Yup! You have done
